An antique retouching box by Bourgeois Aine, Paris. Collapsible mahogany case with ground glass screen and mirror behind, the lower section containing eight glass containers with boxwood stoppers, each container labelled ‘Diaphono Couleurs Liquides por Positifs Sur Verre, Bourgeois Aine de Paris’ (translating to liquid colours for positives on glass), and each containing the dried residue of paint colours. Case measures 24cm x 20cm x 10cm. NOT FOR SALE.
