A World War 2 era signalling mirror, or 'Heliograph', by Braco de Prata of Lisbon, Portugal, together with original leather transit case.  18cm x 11cm.  The heliograph was a simple but highly effective instrument for sending signals over huge distances (typically 20 miles or more) using flashes of sunlight by means of a mirror or system of mirrors.  Messages were sent in Morse Code.  NOT FOR SALE
