A good quality antique mahogany and brass folding British quarter plate camera, the 'Intantograph' by J Lancaster & Sons of Birmingham, fitted with (non-original) Ross of London 5" No3 Symmetrical lens, serial number 20528. Ivorine maker's plate marked "The 1897 Instantograph Patent" and another bearing the name of the retailer, A Franks of Manchester and Hull. Camera 16cm high and 25cm long at maximum extension.
