A large and extremely impressive magic lantern by the respected maker, Newton & Co of London. Marked to the back stage plate 'Newton & Co, Makers, London W1' and on a plate to the side 'Newton & Co, Scientific Instrument Makers to HM The King, 72 Wigmore Street, London W'. This substantial example measures 29" (74cm) long and 14" (36cm) high and is believed to date to around 1920. It is accompanied by a Beard's 'Self-centering Eclipse' slide carrier. NOT FOR SALE
