A fine quality 19th Century Ross Pattern bar limb monocular compound microscope of relatively large proportions. Without makers name but beautifully engineered and remarkably well preserved. It is complete with original fitted case, two objectives with associated brass canisters, two eyepieces and a bullseye condenser on stand. Superb optics. Original mechanical stage. 44cm working height. Circa 1870.

Condition: A super example, the lacquered brasswork beautifully preserved and largely unblemished. Coarse and fine focusing both working correctly. Beautifully crisp optics. Mechanical stage in good working order. Fitted case with original French Polish with good colour and shine. Working lock and key.
