horizontal enlarger by sinclair of London

An exceptionally large and very fine Edwardian horizontal enlarger measuring 42" (107cm) long and 15" (39cm) high.  The woodwork, brass and bellows are all as original.  To the front an Ivorine plaque bears the name "Sinclair, London", thought to be James Sinclair, a photographic instrument maker who was active in the 1920s.   The lens would appear to be non-original and quite a bit earlier (i.e. 1850s), most likely from a large format camera.  It is marked Frederick Cox, 26 Ludgate Hill, London. NOT FOR SALE
