Ross Number 1 Model Magic Lantern

A Ross of London ‘No. 1 Model’ magic lantern, dating to around 1920. Superbly engineered on heavy cast iron stand with elevation adjustment, it is engraved with the maker’s name and model to the right hand side, fitted with a 7” projection lens with rack and pinion focusing and mounted on a high quality mahogany base. This particular example sports a modified lamp housing for horizontal bayonet fitting, rather than vertical was the norm. 50cm long (extended), 25cm high.
