Rare to the market and much sought after by collectors, is this complete set of 24 glass magic lantern slides based on the drawings of Sir John Tenniel's original illustrations for Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland'. Here contained within a nice period felt-lined wooden case, these were first published by W Butcher and Sons in the 1890s in the standard 3¼” x 3¼” format.

The collection survives in great condition, free from chips and cracks and with vibrant colours. Case with original French Polish retaining good colour and shine, minor surface scratches.
