An excellent resource for anyone with an interest in maritime history is this complete two-volume edition of the Lloyds Register Shipping for 1978-79, together with the Lloyds 1958-59 Volume IV Directory of shipbuilders, docks and insurers, and also the 1958-59 and 1961-62 Volume III Lists of Shipowners. 

The Lloyds Register, formerly known as the Lloyds Registry of Shipping, was first published in 1764 as a reference source for underwriters, helping them to gauge commercial risk and set their charges.  

Each volume measures 25cm x 29cm. 

Condition:  All in very good condition with only minor age-related wear and discoloration. Conversion charts present, with a couple of tears to the retaining flap.
