Walter tyler helioscopic

 

A tinplate and brass magic lantern by Walter Clement Tyler of Waterloo Road, London.  This is Tyler's 'Helioscopic' lantern, to a design that was patented in 1888.  It if fitted with a 7" objective lens, internal condensing lens, burner and chimney.  Embossed brass maker's plate to the rear.  22" (56cm) long and 14" (36cm) high.  NOT FOR SALE
